Lauren Grassotti Featured in Long Island Business News, “Who’s Who in Women Professional Services”

Lauren B. Grassotti is Of Counsel to the Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Employment Law practice groups at Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. in Garden City. Grassotti regularly counsels clients of all levels on labor and employment matters including family and medical leave, disability questions, employee handbooks, employee discharge and discipline, wage and hour issues, employment contracts and severance agreements.

Grassotti’s litigation practice includes contract disputes, commercial paper, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, intellectual property litigation, and various employment-related issues and statutes, along with regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. She represents clients in a wide range of industries, including financial services, legal, accounting, hospitality, real estate development and management, manufacturing, recycling and waste management.

She is experienced in all aspects of litigation, including pre-litigation investigation and claim assessment, development of litigation strategy, pleadings, depositions, discovery (including electronic discovery), expert discovery, motions, preparing cases for trial, trial and appeals, and regularly practices before state and federal trial and appellate courts. Grassotti also has substantial experience conducting internal investigations and responding to regulatory subpoenas and inquires.

As a member of Meyer Suozzi’s Employment Law practice group, Grassotti regularly advises employers on a variety of workplace and employment law issues, including employee hiring, promotions, compensations, discipline and termination, employment agreements, wage and hour compliance, internal investigations, performance management, leaves of absence, and developing policies, practices and employee handbooks.

“Our clients operate across a broad range of industries, including hospitality, fashion, retail and manufacturing, and government contracting,” Grassotti said. “Given this wide scope of issues and industries, and the constantly changing employment law landscape, I focus on staying on top of federal, state, and local employment law developments and trends. From 2015-2016, Grassotti was named to the New York Super Lawyers- Rising Star List. She earned a juris doctor, magna cum laude, from St. Johns University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Binghamton University.

Grassotti is admitted to practice in New York State and before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York. She is a member of the New York State Bar Associations and the Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Courts.
