Lois Carter Schlissel Honored by L. I. Center for Business & Professional Women

Lois Carter Schlissel, managing attorney at Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein in Mineola, was presented with the Achievers' Award in the Field of Law by the Long Island Center for Business & Professional Women at the organization's 24th annual Gala.

Schlissel, of Rockville Centre, was elected managing attorney of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein in 2002. No other major law firm in the region has had a women managing partner.

Schlissel also serves as the chair of the firm's employment law group and remains active locally and nationally on workplace discrimination and sexual harassment law. She is also a member of Sen. Charles Schumer's judicial screening panel and a member of the executive board of the distinguished Theodore Roosevelt Inn of Court.
