The Nassau Land Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving open space in Nassau County, has announced the appointment of A. Thomas Levin and George LaMay to its Board of Directors.
A. Thomas Levin (a director and shareholder in the law firm) of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein P.C., (Mineola, New York) also serves as Secretary odf Nassau Land Trust. Mr. Levin also serves as President of the National Caucus of State Bar Associations, and is a Past-President of the New York State Bar Association.
In making the announcement, Nassau Land Trust President Lloyd P. Zuckerberg commented, “Both Tom and George are established as leaders with tremendous integrity in their respective fields. Their addition to our board will certainly enhance our ability to bring our mission to a broader cross-section of Nassau County. And the more people know about the tools of conservation, the more likely they will be to embrace them as an effective means of enhancing their quality of life. Our board is excited to have them join our team.”
Other members of the board of Nassau Land Trust are Kathleen Kleinman, President of the Muttontown Horsemen’s Association, and John V.H. Halsey, President and founder of the Peconic Land Trust based in Southampton.
