The Oceanside community honored Richard Fromewick and his wife Arlene at its annual dessert reception on behalf of UJA-Federation held at the Oceanside Jewish Center. Mr. Fromewick who is the Chair of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C.’s Tax Certiorari and Condemnation practice serves as the Secretary to the Executive Board of the Barry and Florence Friedberg Jewish Community Center.
In addition to his involvement at the Friedberg JCC, Mr. Fromewick is a member of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, a Past Master of his Masonic Lodge, as well as a member a member of the Long Island Scottish Rite, and the Kismet Shrine Temple.
He is also a Board member of the Jewish National Fund of Long Island. He is a Past President and a current Trustee of Temple Avodah in Oceanside.
Mr. Fromewick was named 'Man of the Year' by the United Jewish Appeal, and Arlene was honored by its Women’s Philanthropy and serves on the Fundraising Committees, among others, for the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport, the Nassau County Mental Health Association, the Gurwin Jewish Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and the Kidney & Urology Foundation of America.
Mr, Fromewick received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Hunter College.
