The South Shore YM & YWHA will honor Richard Fromewick and his wife Arlene on May 14 at the Dor L'Dor Golf Classic. The couple will be recognized for their leadership roles in strengthening the region's Jewish community.
The Fromewicks, who are residents of Oceanside and members of Temple Avodah, have created the Temple Avodah Education Fund to enhance the Jewish identity of the children in the Temple's high school. They have been chairs of the Temple Ways and Means Committee and are on the advisory board of the newly formed Long Island Jewish Hospice.
Richard is a senior partner in the law firm of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, where he heads the real estate tax reduction department, and Arlene is a math teacher at Lawrence High School. In addition, she serves on the Nassau County Math Teacher's Association's executive board.
Contributions in honor of the couple will support the new Barry and Florence Freidberg South Shore Y JCC Building Campaign. For more information, call 516-766-4341.
